Money given by the retiring fund

The question:

After the death of my mother, the retiring fund gives me monthly a sum of money due to my studies; the same thing for my brother who studies at university.

The answer:

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.

If the retiring fund gives you this money by considering that it is the money which is taken monthly from the wage of your mother during the years of her work, it is – by the will of Allah - permissible for you to draw profit from it. The same thing applies to the grant of your brother.

The perfect knowledge belongs to Allah عزّ وجلّ. Our last prayer is all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon our Prophet, his Family, his Companions and Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.
